Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone use your service?

Yes. Anyone from the age of 0 - 64 years with a suspected or diagnosed developmental delay or disability can use my service. You don’t need to be on an NDIS plan. In fact, I can assist you to seek diagnosis, obtain reports and/or apply for an NDIS plan.  However, you can only claim reimbursement for these expenses from the NDIS  if you already have an NDIS plan.

Are you a registered provider?

I’m currently seeking registration, which means your plan must be self-managed or plan-managed to claim your expenses from this service. If you’re seeking Support Coordination in your plan, you must request that it be self-managed or plan-managed if you wish to claim payments for this service from the NDIS.

How do I arrange to use your Service?

Simply call, message or email to arrange a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your individual needs. If we both agree to go ahead, we can develop a Service  Agreement for your use of this service.  This can now be done via Skype, Facetime or Zoom to ensure your safety during this time.

How much do you charge?

My charges are in line with the NDIS rate/s for specific line items. Please look for Support Connection and Support Coordination Level 1 & 2 in the Core Supports of the latest Support Catalogue price guide. These have been recently updated (March 2020) to support greater flexibility due to the COVID-19.

What areas do you cover?

Northern Beaches, Northern Sydney and Hornsby local government areas  Other areas on request. My travel over 15 kms is an additional fee.

Are you qualified and experienced?

Yes. I’ve had many years experience in a range of children, family and disability services.  I have a background in Early Childhood Early Intervention in inclusive community-based services. My most recent experience has been working for the NDIS as a local area coordinator. I have thorough knowledge of NDIS processes in my toolbox.

I have a disability and have been trying to get on the NDIS without success. Can you help?

I can certainly help you gather the evidence you need to make your case to the NDIA.  I can also assist you with an appeal against a recent decision regarding your eligibility.

Can you help me use my funds if I don’t have Support Coordination in my plan?

Yes, I can help you use your plan and link in with other services and supports, including mainstream and community supports.  The can now be claimed under “Support Connection” or “Support Coordination” from your Core Support Budget.

What safeguards can you put in place to ensure participants stay safe during COVID-19?

The good news is that Support Coordination and other consultations can be done via phone, Skype or Zoom. Support coordinators and other support services are also quickly finding ways to support you and keep you safe. It’s important to discuss your concerns and develop a Crisis Plan for your supports to ensure that you stay safe and supported at this time.
